Knowledge Resources
FIRST aims to promote learning and dissemination of good practices in financial sector reform.
Since its inception in 2002, FIRST focused primarily on the actual delivery of technical assistance to client countries, supporting more than 300 projects and developing a network of partners involved in financial sector development. Given this experience, it is now in the position to focus to a greater extent on the complementary element of its program: learning, identification of good practices, and knowledge sharing among clients, donors, and the private sector.
This site serves as a repository of knowledge resources, and currently includes:
- FIRST project lessons: A key element of FIRST's knowledge management strategy is the identification of lessons learned, best practices, and information for dissemination. FIRST analyzes its portfolio of completed projects by sector, and shares reports and best practices that can be replicated by clients.
- FIRST Reports: This page includes FIRST annual reports, brochures, and newsletters.
- Seminars and Meetings: FIRST announces its upcoming meetings, and disseminates reports from its previous learning events.
- Financial Sector Resources: This page provides links to standard-setting bodies, regional organizations, NGOs and topical databases.
